Hayley's Room - WORK IN PROGRESS

We started the large task of getting her room in order. We started by removing our current furniture out of the room. Thanks to our amazing friends that helped us we were able to get it out in about 30 minutes.


Our baby furniture also arrived. We are so excited to open it up and put together the crib and dresser. Thanks to our MOMS AND DADS!! Our little girl is so lucky to have you as Grandparents!!!


Last Night, we went to Home Depot and looked at paint colors. Shane wanted to test them out! What do you think???



Remember... Shane and I are not very handy! So even this task is very exciting to us! :)

Hayley's Big Debut

Shane and I went to see our daughter for the first time today. We had a 4D ultrasound and it was amazing to see her face. She definitely has Shane's nose and lips! It is just crazy to see her through the screen and we are getting more excited everyday to meet her.


She spent about 30 minutes with her hands above her head and in her face. It was so hard to get a good picture of her!


We also had the tech confirm that she is in fact a girl!!

The UPPA BABY has arrived!!

Last night was a HUGE day in the Shafer household. We got the call that our stroller was in. Shane could not have been more excited. For everyone that doesn't know, Shane was in charge of selecting the stroller for our little girl. He researched, and researched and researched some more before choosing the UPPA BABY. As you can see below, he is very proud of his purchase :)



Shane even came home with a sign for the stroller! :)

BABIES EVERYWHERE

I can't even explain how exciting it is for me to hear of friends that are having babies too! I can't wait for Hayley to meet all of her new friends!! I feel so lucky to be able to raise our daughter with such great friends and family close by. As we start into our 27th week we are getting more excited by the day. We ordered our crib and dresser this weekend. We absolutely love them both!!! We are excited to get her room together and start preparing for her arrival in 13 short weeks! :)

The weekend of showers

This weekend I was lucky enough to attend two baby showers. Jenn's shower was on the most perfect day in Newport Beach. It was absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to meet Carter. Then on Sunday, we went to LA and celebrated with Sam and Kev as they welcome Preston to their family. He is due May 30th.

VIVA LAS VEGAS

This past weekend we were in Las Vegas for our friend's wedding. Raeanne and Aaron finally tied the knot in an amazing ceremony at the Bellagio. I had been traveling for work that week so Shane and I met at the Vegas airport and started our weekend getaway. We were excited to get out of town and have some fun together. I have to say that Vegas is not nearly as much fun when you are pregnant but we managed to have a blast. The wedding was incredible on Friday. Saturday we shopped around the city and then went on a great date night. Shane took me to dinner at Prime Steakhouse in the Bellagio and then to see "O". I have always wanted to see that show and it was a great way to end our weekend. It also helped that we won on blackjack and that paid for our entire evening :)

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!

We are happy to finally announce that we are having a girl. During our ultrasound on Monday, she was able to say without a doubt that it is definitely a SHE! We are so excited to start talking about names, decorations and dreaming about her every feature. It makes us more and more excited to meet our little angel!!! My scanner isn't working but I will post pictures soon!! Love you all!
